Before becoming one of golf's greatest legends, Byron Nelson served as our club professional and practiced on these fairways to prepare for the Masters Tournament. He called Texarkana Country Club “Little Augusta” for the striking similarities between our Langford & Moreau–designed course and Augusta National.

Designed in 1922 by the acclaimed Chicago firm of William Langford and Theodore Moreau, our course is celebrated for its signature deep bunkers, sloping greens, and the legendary 14th hole — once ranked among the top 18 in the nation and known as “The All-American Hole.”
